After a strenuous session of exercising at Whitechapel sports centre me and my colleague set off for a light bite to eat at local café Zazas’ situated on New Road.
Zazas’ was filled with an energetic vibe with a choice of co-ordinating maroon & gold decor and art. After asking a member of staff for what they would recommend a more than happy chef welcomed us to his signature dish which he guaranteed would be light. Zazas’ had a wide selection of bread rolls including Paninis, ciabattas and bagels. As well as a selection of pastas, salads, fillings and a few traditional Indian dishes including biriyani and Tandoori chicken.
After a little friendly conversation with a co-owner our meals arrived I ordered the spicy Cajun chicken pasta and my college ordered a mix of Mexican chicken with pasta both dishes were accompanied by a large helping of salads and freshly squeezed orange juice.
The pasta was filled with aroma and a sweet tang with the chicken being very juicy the Mexican chicken had quite a kick to it with fresh olives and jalapenos spicing it up. As our meal came to an end Zazas’ was buzzing with customers dining both in and out.
Whilst eating we were asked by the chef whether we enjoyed our meal and were informed about other services Zazas’ provided such as wireless internet for free. Prices vary with our total meal coming to £10.00 including drinks.
Zaza’s Cafe Bar is at 117 New Road, Whitechapel, London E1 1JH
